Coralie Huon est une créative multidisciplinaire et aventurière.
à travers son trait graphique et sa passion pour le storytelling, elle explore de multiples supports et échelles: sa pratique inclus peinture, dessin, techniques de gravure, fresques murales et l’illustration digitale. Elle aime transformer concepts et idées en une imagerie délicate et innovante à travers des collaborations créatives.
Guidée par sa passion pour la montagne et les sports outdoors, son travail est une réflection sur le pouvoir transformateur de la nature ainsi que notre rapport et notre interaction à celle-ci. Elle utilise les éléments de la nature tel un filtre à travers lequel faire sens et exprimer notre expérience humaine, et la nature comme une façon de se reconnecter à soi.

Mon parcours
​
Depuis ma tendre enfance je suis une créative et une exploratrice: j’ai toujours crapahuté sur tous rochers et arbres qui se présentait à moi et j’ai commencé à dessiner depuis le moment où j’ai pu tenir un crayon! Cette exploration du mouvement et de mon expression artistique a été un fil rouge dans ma vie, mais ce n’est qu’à la suite d’un accident d’escalade que ces deux passions se sont rejointes. À la suite de cet événement, j’ai crée une BD racontant les faits et cela ravivas mes désirs créatifs tout en me donnant une ligne directrice et un sujet.
Après une carrière d’une décennie en architecture à côté de laquelle je développais ma pratique artistique, je poursuis à present mes explorations créatives à plein temps.
Inspiration & processes

Being outdoors is an important part of what nourishes my work and my connection to nature.
My work in the studio and my plein air sketching are two complimentary facets of my approach. ​​​​​​

Drawing outside allows me to deeply connect with my environment, understanding it better and capturing its mood, as well as my own, through a limited timeframe, encapsulating the moment in its raw emotion.

On larger formats in the studio, I can extend the meditative and contemplative process of painting/ drawing to explore emotions & concept in more elaborate depths and details.
My journey
​
Since childhood, I have been both drawn to moving in nature and to draw the world around me and the imaginary world within me. Outside I would immerge myself into the elements, scrambling every bit of rock I could find and doing summersaults under the water. Inside I would be bent over a sheet of paper, doodling away the day, fascinated that you could built world and tell stories with just a pencil.

As I trained as an interior designer and an architect, I quickly got interested on how design could influence eco-friendly behaviours and how my work could positive impact the world, an in particular the natural world.
After a decade of working in the field of architecture in the UK and continuing my art practice on the side, I discovered rock climbing​, which both uniting my love for movement, travelling to beautiful places, and solving complex visual and physical problems.

This new found passion led to reignite and redirect my artistic practice after a climbing accident: I drew a graphic novel out of this experience and this was the start of drawing and painting climbers, rocks, waves and exploring telling stories though the natural elements. ​​
I moved to the french Alpes to dedicate myself to my creative practice, be closer to the source of my inspiration and to be more closely connected to nature. ​Still today, developing awareness of the natural world and our place in it is key to my work, both personal and with clients.
